I want to thank everyone who’s been part of the GB Bridge Club this year. We’ll be winding things down as our season runs through the end of September, but what a year it’s been.

 

It’s been such a thrill to run a club that welcomes both record-setting players and beginners willing to drive an hour just to learn and play. We even found the thermostat (shh—don’t tell facilities). We managed to break last year’s table record at a time when many clubs are shrinking, which is no small feat.

 

The sectional tournament, organized by Michael Ramella (who’s been bringing plenty of friends to join us), was a highlight for my partner and me when she was in town.

 

Of course, there were ups and downs—as always—but when I look back, it feels like this was a truly successful year. That makes me even more excited about what’s ahead.
